Abstract:	According to the invention a method for the analysis of multiple sequence alignments of related protein sequences is provided, wherein each sequence comprises a sequence of elements, characterised by automatically associating each sequence element with an angular measure of a primary property of the elements. The use of an angular measure of a primary property measure allows to grasp similarities within the elements more easily compared to the prior art tables. It further provides the opportunity to display the mapping in two or three dimensions. It is furthermore possible to analyse a secondary property at the same time.
