Abstract:Stent thrombosis is a rare but potentially fatal complication of percutaneous treatment of coronHHary disease. Its occurrence after placement of drug eluting stents (DES) has raised concerns, as this event may occur very late after stent implantation. Here, we report a case of very late stent thrombosis (VLST) experienced 1462 days after DES deployment in a patient with challenging clinical status, requiring counterbalancing hemorrhagic and thrombotic risk factors.
