Abstract:	Die Situation im Gesundheitswesen ist durch Kostendruck und sich stark veraendernde Behandlungsformen gepraegt. Die Onkologie nimmt dabei in der Bildung neuer Verbuende und Organisationsformen eine Vorreiterrolle ein. Die bisherigen Strukturen werden durch Behandlungsverbuende ersetzt, welche – mit den Comprehensive Cancer Centers an der Spitze – eine intergrative Versorgung ermoeglichen und die Interdisziplinaritaet staerken. Motivation dabei ist es, ueber die Schaffung von Transparenz mit beschraenkten Budgets eine umfassende Versorgung sicherzustellen. Das Zusammenfuehren unterschiedlichster Partner kann auch Konfliktpotenziale bieten, die es zu bewaeltigen gilt. Gleichzeitig muessen Kernaufgaben der Netzwerke geloest werden, die in der Koordination und Ausbildung der Partner, im Aufbau klinischer Register und damit im Zusammenhang stehenden Evaluationen/Studien liegen. Um diese Aufgaben zu loesen, sollte sich der Aufbau von Onkologieverbuenden dem Geschaeftsprozessmanagement bedienen und robuste Strukturen in der Informationssystemlandschaft und in der Organisation schaffen. Presently the situation in the public health sector is influenced by a strong impact of changing treatment types and increasing cost pressure. Medical oncology takes part in the process of establishing new forms of organisation as a forerunner and cutting edge. The previous structures are now being replaced by compound healthcare networks, which provide integrative treatment and interdisciplinary approaches headed by the comprehensive cancer centres. The motivating force is always the ambition of gaining transparency while ensuring an optimum of medical care in line with the budget. Merging of very different organisations and procedures of course induces conflicts, which have to be overcome. At the same time the core tasks, such as coordination and instruction of network partners, setting up a clinical treatment register and related new trials must be accomplished. To reach these objectives the set-up of oncology networks should be achieved by means of an adequate business process management, which helps to achieve robust management structures accompanied by suitable IT-infrastructures.
